Last month PNC changed the way consumers could make their credit card payments; no longer could you click on the PNC "Credit Card" website, now oyu had to go through PNC online banking. I am 53 years old; I am not computer savy. I thought I set it up correctly but whe it came time to make my payments it would not go through. I had to go through my "bank pay" but because of this change in the way of doing things (imposed by PNC not me!) my payment was posted by PNC ONE DAY LATE. Holding this PNC credit card for years I HAVE NEVER MADE ANY OTHE PAYMENT LATE. I have always paid more than what was due. I never went over my credit limit. I called to ask that they waive this $25 late fee as it was their change of how one could make payments that created this situation. I honestly did try to make my payment on time. The facts proveit was posted only one day after the due date (and actually mae through my bank two days BEFORE the duedate). When I aske dthem to waive this one and only late fee on my account in several years they were rude and ignorant. This is not good customer relations. I am payin goff my account and throwing this card in a drawer. I will use it often enough to not screw up my credit rating (based on credit lmits and length of holding a card) but the hundreds of dollars they could have gotten in finance fees is gone! I hope anbody else affected by this new way of having to pay this credit card does the same and maybe someone will even file a class action suit. I never thought PNC was one of "those kind of credit card companies" but I guess it was — pathetic how certain companies take advantage of certain peple and certain situations they actually set up! Again, i was never late, not even one time!
