This company has the most unprofessional contractors, customer service reps, and supervisors. My experience is as follows:
The contractor came to my home to fix my dishwasher. After examining my dishwasher he concluded that I needed a new one and he was going to request that Colonial replace my current one. After which, he demanded that I pay him in cash for the service fee ($55). When I told him that I only had a check as a form of payment his attitude changed. He started to make excuses to why he needed cash as a form of payment. Nevertheless, check was his form of payment. When I contacted the contractor 4 days later he was very rude and unprofessional. He would not give me an update on the status of my repair. He also rudely told me to call Colonial for a update on my repair and not to contact him anymore. After speaking with him I called Colonial and explain my situation to the customer service rep. The rep stated that he did not give an update at that time and I would receive a call before close of business to update me on my claim. I never received a call that day. 2 days later I call Colonial and asked to find out an update. The rep sated that no information was received and I would have to receive another call back for an update. I then asked the rep to speak to a supervisor. I explained the situation to the Colonial Supervisor - Brian Stevens. He got irate with me and stated that I tried to repair a part on the dishwasher which caused for Colonial NOT to pay for anything.
This is the worst home warranty company out there. I should have never left Home Warranty of America!
