I was recently shopping around for home owners insurance and I currently have Country Financial. I was told by State Farm that I was "uninsurable" because I had 3 prior claims in the past 4 yrs. I knew I had a flood about 3yrs ago and had storm damage to my roof last year but nothing else. I did some checking:
About 2yrs ago, a storm ripped a piece of siding off my home. I called and said "how much is my deductable and can you tell me IF it makes sense for me to file a claim?" A guy came out and looked and told me. Nope. Your deductibe is $1000 and the damage is about the same amount. I never made the claim.
Country Financial Insurance counted that as a claim!!! Rip off!!! They say it was a zero pay out claim! I contacted the Illinois Insurance Regulators office and they tried to settle it. Country had the nerve to say They were not able to find the audio tape of the recording, but still say the customer put in a zero pay out claim. RIP OFF!!!
I spoke to the general manager and told him. "I'm not trying to rip you off. Why would anyone make a claim for ZERO dollars!". He refused to remove it.
Now I'm mad as He and out to tell the world what a scam operation that Country is. Don't every call them to ask a question or they will put it down as a claim!!! I feel they owe me $300 that I could have saved by switching but couldn't because I'm suck with them.
Don't go to Country. They are a rip off!!
