A letter was received with overdue amounts in January. I sent the payment with a large lump sum to get the account up to date. When I contacted the company to verify 3 days later that they had received the payment, they advised that it had been sent to collections. No collection notice was sent PRIOR to the collection. I advised Santander that I was trying to make the payments and they advised to wait until I received a collection letter to make payments.in addition, once the letter from the collection arrived almost 2 months later, it stated that it has been purchased for collection more than one month after I had last contacted Santander to verify if they received the payment. We have filed a report with the BBB and they will not even reply to that.
