2 months in a row I noticed a $3.00 charge on my savings account with Bank of America. This is besides the $5.00 monthly maintenance fee they charge as well. I contacted bank of America for an explanation. I was told that the charge applies when you have more than 6 transactions a month in your savings account. Which would have been fine except they count your ATM withdrawal as a separate transaction from your actual withdrawal. So what that means to the consumer is that if you withdraw your money from an ATM machine it potentially counts as 2 separate withdrawals. 1 for the cash and a separate 1 for the ATM withdrawal. Not only does this seem crooked to me but it's almost straight up robbery. I understand that it's only $3.00 but I have been charged 2 months in row. In the long run it could add up quite quickly.
