I applied for a account online with PNC Bank. I received an account number and a conformation number for my deposit of 500 dollars. I had a few question so I call the customer service number and the lady informed me to go into a local branch and sign a few cards and I qualified though a upgrade though my work. I thought great!
Well then let me tell you as the nightmare started. When I went into the branch near my work they told me they could not make any changes to the account until my deposit cleared. The person working on my account said she would call me tomorrow and make the changes. Tomorrow came and still nothing could be done and the account was still not active. She informed me that someone put the information into the system wrong and would take another day.
This all started on Tuesday and it is now Thursday. I called the person at the bank that I spoke with on Wednesday and still the account was not active yet, she said to go into a local branch or come back and see her. That we would just close this account and start over. I said ok
I went into another branch near my house and they said that the account was not active and no funds were taken out of my other bank. I informed them that the money was taken out and I could show them on my statement. They said no that they would need my bank to write and letter and until then they could do nothing.
I again called customer service and ask them why I show money and have a trace number but you say nothing has been withdrew. They told me that I was not a customer and need to take this matter up with my bank that could take up to 45 days.
