I have been using US bank's online banking for over 2 years and made a deposit to my account in the amount of 516.00 paid 2 small bills and went online to check my balance and found that I had 59.00. I immediately called them and they informed me that I had overdrawn my account and told me the dates. I looked at the online statement like I always do and it showed a balance at the time of the overdrafts of 51.00. I said impossible the guy said OH NO you have to click that amount to actually see your availabe balance!
Not only do they take your money they do not inform you of their policies and procedures. Nor do they take the time to explain how their online services work. This is how this bank makes their money. I have spoke with several people who have had the same problems with them. The gentleman said he would talk to his branch manager and see if they could reduce some of them. Ha not only do they rip you off they ARE UNCARING AND INSENSITIVE! They call themselves a 5 star bank NO more like a 1 star. I got better service when banking with an instore bank.
When I told them I was going to close my account they said well if you are going to do that then I am not going to waste my time talking to my manager. This bank is out to make money off their customers by keeping them in the dark with their policies and online banking. This bank is the worst I have dealt with. Their own employees complain about the way they are treated and leave that branch and transfer to another. They charge non banking customers a 5.00 fee to cash a check. I have made errors and admit to them but when I am banking online for 2 years and do not know that I am not seeing an accurate balance it is a wonder I have not made a million mistakes! The branch manager Jim is an absolute horrible person to try and talk to. He is rude and basically makes you feel stupid. You call that 5 star service???
