When I made this mortgage with Ameriquest, I was supposed to pay the real estate taxes on my property. So, I pay the taxes and fax the receipts to Ameriquest.
Two weeks later, they pay the real estate taxes AGAIN. Then, they come after me for reimbursement to the tazes they paid! They tack on a $1079.69 charge to my monthly payment! Resulting in a huge monthly payment! And, they refuse to accept anything other than the full payment.
I have been around and around with these people and they refuse to accept responsibility for their screw up.
This might be a coincidence, but my 2 year pre-payment penalty period just ran out and I can re-finance freely. So if they ruin my credit because I'm unable to make my payment, I'm stuck with them. Either that, or they foreclose.
