My husband was contacted by first union credit by telephone. THE PERSON REPRESENTING THIS COMPANY STATED MY HUSBAND COULD GET A Credit card with 2500.00 limit with a 300.00 security deposit. I told my husband what questions to ask them to see if they sounded like they were fake or not. The guy had good answers for everything, my mother in law also checked in to them and everything seemed okay. We let them take 300.00 out of my husbands checking account, the guy told us the credit card would be here within 4 weeks. We never got a credit card. After 5 weeks we started calling them they said it had been mailed give it some more time, so we did.
Two more weeks passed still no credit card, we called back again, a very rude i mean very rude person, which is the same person that we had talked to each time we called, said that the post office had been going through peoples mail because of terriosm and it slowed the mail down to wait some more. Two more weeks passed we called back this time he said it must have got lost in the mail he was sending another one. Two more weeks passed still no credit card so we called back this time he just insisted on us being inpatient, now by this time i started just asking them to fefund my money and that i was gonna report them to bbb, he told me if i didnt report them he would send my money back, and said look im gonna personally mail you a packet again it will be there in 5-7 dAYS. FOR THE LAST TIME i said okay. I did report them anyway. NOw i didnt know what he meant by packet but i thought the credit card would be in it, oh no i was wrong they did send me a packet but it was credit card applications to 3 different credit card companies. The guy on the phone said nothing about this he said it was from first union credit 2500,00 credit limit low interest rate and no annual fees, and with the security deposit we were already approved.
All we recieved was 3 applications for 3 different credit card companies. We called theses credit card companies and they had never even heard of first union credit. So we have been trying to get our money back and they either say they cant or they will have somebody call us, they never do how ever. Now keep in mind during all this time each time we would show frustration over them taking our money and lying this man who is supposed to be in charge who weve dealt with when calling them would either hang up on us, have people tell us he was in a meeting, make us feel like we didnt know what we were talking about. He even told us he was gonna sue us for getting upset with him and making him so upset that his blood pressure went up and he had to go lay down some where. He didnt seem to understand our blood pressure was up cause we just got crapped out of 300.00.
We only wanted a credit card for my husbands job he has to have one because his job involves traveling and reimbursements. We cant get nothing done i even called one last time just as nice as i could be and as soon as he asked me who i was he ammediately started being so rude, i hadnt got anything out of my mouth when he asked me if everyone in NC talked like me with a accent i told him yes then he asked me if i attended church every sunday i said why he said just tell me do you just tell me i said why and he said just tell me when he seen i was getting just a little upset by telling him i was just gonna talk to him about getting my money back that church was not what he needed to be talking to me about, he simply hung up, thats all he ever does just to get off easy, also when we call back he automatically is unavailable.
One time i asked him if i could speak to someone else and he just hung up on me. Weather your upset or being nice he hangs up. He insults us every time and we have every reason to be upset. Im not one to just let things go especially when somebody has stole money from me, i work to hard to get it. 300.00 is alot to me. I hope something comes from this and people read this and now know about first union credit. We did talk to the post master attorney general about this company saying that the post office was going through peoples mail the post master said that that was untrue of coure, just another lie.
