In June I was charged 79.95 for a membership to CIC Credit Monitoring. I never agreed to having a membership and was quite surprised to find it on my statement. I had no idea what the charge was for.
The charge overdrew my bank account. Fortunately the bank was understanding and I didn't get charged any nsf fees. Now getting my money back is a headache.
The bank couldn't give me money back, but did call the company for me. They were told I had to call. I called and got a run around. I was told that part of the membership has been used and I only can get back $76.40. I asked to talk to the manager, but was told that wasn't possible. The manager doesn't speak with customers.
I was told I would get my money back in 5-10 business days. I've been checking my bank account on a regular basis and I haven't seen it yet. It is coming up on the 5th business day.
