I have been trying to work with this company for the last 17 months, I started off by requesting a Home Affordable modification due to payments being to high/divorce (lost income). Applied 10/10 called month after month to only be told the file was not assigned. Finally when it get assigned, they over state my income & REFUSE to take a look at my W2 as proof so the modification was denied.in the process of that modification, I lost my job by the way it's going on a year now & I only sent in 3 payments because of the lack of the unknown & I couldn't afford it. I was then told that they were trying to do a traditional modification & I again told them "with what income" I have no job, they processed it anyway & it was denied. Next I received a letter stating I can take advantage of a HAFA option which will allow me to sell for a pre-determained amount so I opted at this point to take advantage of that since I was still unemployed & I owed them $18k at this point. I filled out what I was told and asked when I would receive instructions on what to do, I was told my case was not assigned yet but to list the property anyway. I questioned this because according to the HAFA government site I was to be approved 1st in order to list for the pre-approved amount. NO ONE in this company seems to know about the procedures of this program and week after week I receive different information. I called back today & was told it's been denied because I don't have a contract??? I lost it at this point, I couldn't believe the joke of these people information. "how the h*l would I have a contract if for 1 the home was just listed, 2 I never received any amount they were willing to take 3 I never talked to an assigned agent in this 3week period I also never received documents for my Realtor etc. I'm about to just walk away & let this house foreclose because it's pointless working with this idiots that give you different story after different story & get away with it. SOMEONE PLZ HELP ME!!! I know I qualify for this program, the HOPE line confirmed it & also spoke to these people regarding what I needed to do to ensure this was being processed correctly. These people are getting away with not helping, not providing government assistance program guidelines properly, and not giving correct information.
