Harrassing Phone Calls Rude Obnoxious Illetirate Telephone Harrasers Scared supposed Management/Supervisors

At approximately 8:00 A.M. Saturday June 26, I was awakened to a call from a company called GC Services. I asked what kind of company, the woman replied a "collection angency, trying to collect a debt", she then referenced Dish Network Sattelite Corp. Account # 8255909114628396 for the amount of $52.80.

I work evening shift, I did'nt get off until 1:00 A.M. And fell asleep at approx. 4:00 A.M. I gathered my thought's and informed the woman that my Acct. Was paid in full and closed approx. 1 year earlier.

By closing the account, this included paying any unpaid balances, and arranging for the return of the equipment issued by Dish Network. The reason It was being closed was tha my house was for sale and I was leaving immediately to start a new job offer in Jacksonville, Fl.

Therefore, I informed dis Network of this and gave them a forwarding address to send the UPS boxes to return the Equip. That I would take with me. Any money I owed to them had already been paid, I found the rect. For $108.85 and informed the woman from GC Services of this.

I also told her that when I got to Florida I Received the UPS boxes and returned the equipment. I told her she needed to contact Dish Network so this could be verified and the situation taken care of. She then informed me that it was'nt her job or her credit and I was responsible for doing this.
Keep in mind I informed her also that I had not rec'd. A bill from Dish Network or her company either after she said I had.

Prior to ending the call, I asked her her name and/or her employee number. She told me her name was Ms. Spivey and her extension was 2119. I then asked her if there was a manager or a supervisor available, she told me to hold on and I heard her talking to a male person in the background and I heard him say, "just tell him to make the call", she did'nt bother to put me on hold.

She came back to me and said there was no supervisor or manager there. I then asked her if there was one there what would his name be? She said Mr. Higgins, and she again told me to call Dish Network to handle the situation and hung up the phone on me.

I gathered my past bill from Dish Network and proceeded to call them. The person who took my call there was very professional. I told him the way they were talking to me with the other co. And he said it was wrong and un-professional I agreed 100%.

He put me on hold for a short period of time and came back and said that a piece of equipment was not returned and the bill was for this. The piece of equipment was called an LMBF. This is the piece that I had to go on the roof to remove from the front of the dish.

I told him it was sent in at a later date because I had to re-call Dish Network and tell them I had no room in the boxes they had sent me, they said they would send another box right away, which they did and I sent it the next day UPS. I asked him why I had not received a bill for this and I was getting a call from a collection agency.

He asked me to hold again, and when he came back he informed me I did'nt get a bill because the LMBF was rec'd. But it was not documented on my account and there must have some kind of error. He took it off my bill right away and said it was a done deal. I thanked him very much and asked for his name and ext. Prior to ending the call.

He gave me his name, Mr. Ismael and his operator code was JW2, that they did not go by extensions there. I asked would I be mailed something from him to show the matter resolved and he said "no, it would'nt be necessary". Again I thanked him very much and ended the call. I then returned the call to GC Services and here is where things got worse.

A different woman answered the phone this time so I asked for Ms. Spivey at ext. 2119. The woman told me that she was un-available or busy and she could handle the call. I filled her in on thing's up until now and again I heard the male voice in the background asking her if it was Mr. Turner again! I heard her say yes.

I finished telling her what had happened with Dish Network and asked her was everything satisfactory. I then heard the man get on the line also snickering and saying "NO" in a raised voice and said it was my responsibility to get something in writing from Dish Network to send to them showing the bill was cleared. I then asked who I was speaking with, and he replied the "Manager, or Supervisor" something to that effect.

I then asked him if he was Mr. Higgins the one the previous woman had said he was'nt around or available. He said (now get this) "Yeah this is him telephone tough guy"! I asked him who the hell he was calling a telephone tough guy? Then his Female, subordinate, puppet like individual started chiding in, and they were both rambling at the same time!

I told him, "If you were'nt in Houston, Tx. Calling and harrassing me in Jacksonville, Fl. On a Saturday morning we could see who the tough guy was". Then he started demanding and snickering again telling me to "make the damn phone call and fix it"! Then He hung up on me.

I Proceeded to call Mr. Ismael back at Dish Network and informed him of what was happening, and I asked him again, Is there any paperwork or proof that I need to get or was responsible to get to send back to them. He said "No, there is nothing". The Collections people always get the information, and it was not my responsibility. He said he could'nt believe it, and again, I thanked him and ended the call.

I called GC Services back one more time to again tell them what Mr. Ismael said, and gave his Operator Code over their babbling again. When they stopped talking like idiot's I informed Mr. Higgins that "if this show's up on my credit report, or if I get a negative letter regarding this from anyone, he would not be hearing from me again, he would be hearing from a lawyer". His reply was, "Just bring it mr. Telephone tough guy"! And he hung up on me again.
