This company lacks integrity of any kind. The sales rep that I dealt with claimed to be from my current merchant service. He never explained that Merchant Cooperative was the name of the company and not a description. I had dealt with a company called EVO previously and did not realize that this was the same company. I had left the company several years before because I did not like their methods and costs of doing business. The rep used the old account info to make me think he was with my current provider. Later I get copies of paperwork and he's changed the account number, but tries to claim that the account was current. I talked to another rep on their customer service line and she said that that was unusual and the original account had been inactive for a couple of years. The sales rep even went so far as to take the credit card machine provided to me by my real provider when he installed the new leased machine. All the time he knew I thought he was from my current provider and was making upgrades. It wasn't until later when more paperwork and bills came in that I had questions about why things were so different that they finally revealed that they were not my current provider.By that time I was already out a good bit of money. I had to go to considerable lengths to get my original machine back or else I would have had to pay $700 to replace it to my current provider. The original machine was returned and the leased machine was picked up. Merchant Cooperative then charged me for a partial lease payment for the time I had the machine. Then the next month charged me again for a full payment. I'm still trying to work this out. Bookstore, Goose Creek, SC
