First account I had to close after BOA allowed a fraudulent wire transfer to a fraudulent bank in Florida. Total stolen $1500 which was returned after three weeks.
Second account: After a check was cashed without my signature on a business account, I was told I had to make a special request (by Melissa K. Marin) so the bank would not cash a check without my signature, which is ridiculous. I went through a lot of security measures to open this account but they cash checks without any signature.
At the same time, I asked Melissa K. Marin if I could request my original checks to be returned to me, not just copies, and she put in another special request and then told me that my next statement would include my original checks. Yet again, she lied because, when the next statement was received, my original checks were not included.
After numerous debit card and other problems, and after requesting that no transactions be paid if there was not enough money in my account (which I had to make a SPECIAL REQUEST again since they treated this card as a CREDIT card), they deliberately allowed three transactions to be paid anyway, then charged me $35 for each transaction, after I specifically requested that they NOT do that. Total lost in overdraft charges on transactions $105 ($35 eventually reversed and returned to me).
After this last fiasco, I closed the account and went to another bank. Do not do business with bank of america
