I was contacted by this company on my cell phone. The gentelman stated that I was approved for a credit card for $2000.00. He stated several times that it was not "up to $2000.00", but that I was approved for that much.
This offer sounded too good to be true, but me knowing that I am easily persuaded. I asked all the "right" questions. I just got false answers!!! I asked the if it was the type of credit card that you have to deposit the money in the account in order to spend it, his respose was no.
Well, he then told me that I would have to pay a one time fee of $299.00, and that would be the payment of the intrest for 3 years. WOW!
Well, they sent me a package of a couple of catalogs and a postcard to send them $50.00 and I would get my "purchase card". Yup, I would have to deposit the money into an account to be able to spend this money... And pay interest on it!!! Didn't make much sense to me. So, there was a letter in the package on how to cancel. You call this number and report that you are canceling, so I did. I was told to mail the package back with a letter on the front stating my name and account # and that I wanted to cancel. And that is what I did.
When I called he said it would take up to 6 weeks, so I waited the six weeks and no refund. I have cantacted this company several times, asked to speak to a superviser and they tell me they do not have one. EVERYONE has a superviser. They are now telling me that I have to fax them a reciept showing that I have mailed the package back, however, I didn't save it and the post office can not track it.
The moral of this story is to stay as far away from this company as possible!!! I still have not got a refund, but I haven't given up!!!
