After a Mexican-based timeshare company didn't fulfill the terms of a contract and we notified the company of our cancellation of the contract, they turned over the contract to Monterey Financial Services for collection. Although Monterey has been provided proof of the cancellation, they don't seem to care about the terms of the contract or the cancellation. I have a Mexican lawyer working on fraud charges against the Mexican Time Share company (CIAMSA or Premier Holiday Travel), while I have a US lawyer taking care of Monterey. So far Monterey has only been a pest, not reporting anything negative about our credit.
If others are similarly impacted by these guys, please send me an EMAIL and let me know. Maybe enough people with similar problems would lead to a class action law suit or something.
