I live outside of the state of Florida and have a 'Do Not Call' phone number.
I received a phone call today out of the blue. The girl on the other line asked if I had received their letter offering to lower my credit card rate. I responded I did not know. I then asked who was calling and she stated 'Financial Knowledge Network'. I asked where they were located and she said 'Clearwater, Florida'. I then asked if I could have their phone number. She immediately hung up on me.
This raises a red flag for me. I was obviously asking too many questions and coming off as too savy a person. Are they trying to target people in their 'cold calling' who may be a little naive?
