EquiCredit Corp. Sold our mortgage out to Fairbanks Capitol Corp.
From that time forward it was a constant battle of adding on costs we didn't owe. After the first few months our monthly payments went from $438 to $635, then after a few months our monthly statement went from $635 to $1200, which was impossible to afford at all. When we were finally able to refinance, they said that the payoff was so much that we got know cash back to consolidate our other bills that had fallen behind because of the costs of the mortgage.
We originally borrowed $45,000 and after paying on the loan since 1998, our payoff was $56,000. How did it go up?
This company has been harrassing. We had joined in the suit against Fairbanks and when the paper came in to sign for the judgement it mentioned $3,800 and there is at least another $4,300 in question on top of the $3,800.
I am positive when we filed it wouldn't have been for only the $3,800, but for $8,100. So, this has us confused as well.
They are still getting around screwing us out of money.
By our figures we should have been able to get back about $7,000 in cash back after payoff from refinancing. This is the money we are fighting for.
