We have a mortgage with Wells Fargo. We experienced an escrow shortage which caused our payment to increase by a few dollars per month. No big deal. But... Wells Fargo also added $42 for an American Home Shield Warranty.
We NEVER asked for or consented to this optional product! We never signed or recieved a contract. Wells Fargo just added it to our automatic draft, de facto.
Trying to remove the charge and get a refund is a nightmare! Each company blames the other, passing the buck and offering conflicting information. Delays and excuses abound. The whole thing is disingenuous and sneaky. We've been a great customer, with never a late payment, but this is how we are treated. If you are a Wells Fargo customer, bend over, grab your ankles, and get ready to be scr*d!!!
