Bank of America has this month done what a reputable goat head salesperson in the Middle East who was a teenager would know better than doing: Automatically deducted $ 6 US from my, and many other standard automatic deposit and debit card accounts.
Although warning in the mail was given, these accounts of course have among them low-income
students and the elderly on fixed incomes.
For a standard Social Security Disability account, this amounts to just slightly less than one percent
per month.
I max out the account every month, sometimes using up the monthly income in 20 days... But I have
never overdraw until this month's "surprise" charges.
That's the fact, new and extra charges for old accounts, (instead of only making the new charges
for new customers).
Who says this is a recession and not a depression, with catastrophic losses in good sociology and intelligence for all concerned. This is not a dirogatory way of looking, it is a way that could, in a better world, inspire peaceful, democratic revolution with global improvements in establishing new economies and preventing poverty and starvation abroad.
Instead we are getting completely vain hype, publicity, more reasons to kiss up to the fad in credit scores and the utterly dysfunctional idolatry of people instead of sound global economic solutions and the real charity, love and compassion that prevents war and starvation with the same zeal as has been used to scandalize foreign nations and bring dysfunctional military, social and financial action.
