Well, I've been caught!!! Just like all the other consumers that have fallen for this gimmick from this company, I've also been taken, but not for long. Do not fall for their SCHEME!!! You do not get a credit card, all you get is a white package with a bunch of coupons from various companies. Since I was never told that on the phone, I called in when I received the little white package and after finding out that all the company does is apply to other companies that offer credit that matches your criteria.
Consumers, do not give out your social security number or fill out that paper!!! Send everything back to them immediately!!!
I sent the package back the very same day I got it (2/27/04) and it was received on 3/2/04, to this date I am still waiting for my refund. Thanks to one of the consumers who complained on this website, I am now going through my bank to get my money back. Thanks for you tip! Don't even try calling the phone number, it works but you will get nowhere. I have formally made a written statement to the BBB in New York. For everyone who has been taken by this company, you should file a claim with the BBB in NY at: www.newyork. BBB.org.
