When I was contacted by Prime One Benefits, I was asked if I wanted a credit card with a beginning limit of $1,000.00. The card was to have no annual fees, and 0% introductory interest.
I was to have the one time fee of $187.00 deducted from my checking account and the card would be sent to me in the mail.
I received a package with some credit planning booklet and a few forms to apply for reduced priced health benefits and a few other benefits that I've been offered in local coupon mailers, and seen in local paper advertisements. No credit card was enclosed, but an application for a credit card was. Nothing in this package was what I was promised.
I'm going to get a certified mailer to return this package, and if I don't get my refund, I'll be in touch with the banking industry in New York.
