On several occasions I was charged the $29 late fee even though I was sure that I had mailed my credit card payment in a timely manner.
In early September I attached a USPS Delivery Confirmation form to the payment envelope. Yet again I was assessed $29 for late payment. My Discover Card statement reported that my payment was received on September 11—one day late. However, thanks to the USPS, I had proof positive that my payment was received at the payment center on the morning of September 7—FOUR DAYS before Discover Card attests—well ahead of the due date.
How many cardholders are paying these fraudulent charges every month?
