After mailing the payment 10 days ahead of due date I was charged a $35 late fee. I then mailed the following payment using USPS priority mail with proof of delivery at a cost of $4.30. I was again charged a $35 late fee.
Sent a dispute letter including proof of timely delivery in September per instructions on the statement. No response received as of this date. December payment also sent with proof of delivery. Delivery proof indicates receipt prior to the due date, but another $35 late charge posted for December.
Looked up 1st National Bank of Omaha's phone number and gave them a call. Asked for the FCNB rep and explained the situation. They requested fax copy of my September letter and delivery proof and stated that processing time after receipt was the reason for the late charge! Still waiting on credit for the charges.
This is a blatant rip-off and you'd think with all of the complaints on this site alone that a class action suit would be imminent!!!
