I received a letter several days ago from camco stating that I had a debt of $2686. I called to inquire assuming there was a mixup and to my disbelief he had my soc. Security number. There claim was 15 years old!
Unbelievable. At the same time, my inlaws have been receiving harrassing phone calls asking for me and then saying "pay your bills" and hanging up.
Luckily, I tried to search the company on the internet and found this website! Knowing this was totally false, I stuck it to him a bit and hopefully won't be hearing from them again!!!
FYI— they left very incoherent messages on my inlaws machine— the only clear part was the name and phone number! Also when I spoke to the man, I couldn't really understand him. BEWARE!!!
I will be contacting the attorney general's office!
