Unfortunately I don't have time to read over 750 posts about the company that steals people's homes, lives, and dreams for a living. I'm a little busy trying to rebuild my life years after being victimized, and searching for hope for my kid's futures. I apologize in advance if this has been covered in an earlier thread, but I want to know, for those of us who had our homes stolen, is there any hope? What do we do now? I want to see Ocwen put through the wringer for what they have done to families, but in all honesty, do any of us who lost our homes stand to gain any fair repayment or have our tarnished credit erased? An apology would be a good start.
I read a few things posted by employees blowing the whistle on Ocwen while integrating some office politics into the mix. Thank you to those who have spoke up and help the cause. Someone mentioned we (the victims) are just numbers. Faceless names with account numbers or bankruptcy and foreclosure files in our desk drawers. I think I speak for every victim when I say we are FAR MORE than that, and many of us are FAR BEYOND livid about the the injustices we have encountered.
Has any employee of Ocwen read the horror stories from people's encounters? Does anyone at Ocwen care that my family had to live in a homeless shelter for 2 1/2 months, that more than 5 years has passed since you stole my home and helped me ruin my credit, and I have a hard time getting anyone to sell me auto insurance or rent me a place to live? That I still do not have anything but folding chairs to sit on in my living room? That my future and my children's futures look to hold NOTHING worthwhile? Probably not.
I work hard at several jobs for chump change in this crime infested area we had to come to. I am doing my best to dig us out from under the red slashes on my credit which are not even supposed to be there. I do all I can to encourage my kids that things will get easier while I listen patiently to them recall on occasion how they miss our home that I worked and paid to have with no one's help as a single mom. Yeah I miss it too, but I miss having hope even more.
Is anybody going to make anything good of all the suffering, or help those of us who do not have a case in progress or currently losing our homes, who can't afford legal representation, and who were victimized a few years back? Is this post I am writing even worth the ten minutes I am putting into it? And finally, does anybody else see a possible collaboration with HUD here? It seems a lot of these mortgages went straight from a Hud Assignment to Ocwen.
Anyway, I've shared what I wanted to share for what it's worth. If nobody cares then, well, at least I feel better having my voice heard here. I will continue rebuilding our lives, as well as I can, with or without any apology or remedy from Ocwen. I do hope Ocwen gets what they deserve for these tragedies inflicted. It would be great to enable some of the "great minds" at work in this scam to experience homelessness and destruction of credit.
