Ocwen FSB
Attention

There are so many lawsuits lining up and being filed against Ocwen these days that rumors are beginning to circulate that petitions might be made to MDL to transfer the ongoing Hartford case to another court.

(MDL is MultiDistrict Litigation panel in Washington, DC. It has the power upon petition to consolidate and transfer cases to ANY Federal judge in ANY state.)

The upshot of this is that the case could be transferred to Oregon or New Mexico. If that should happen, the case might effectively be removed from the lead plaintiff, Mr. Kweku Hanson, and his attorney. It probably will be tried as a class action case ONLY, rather than a RICO case.

I have long been an outspoken critic of the court's handling of the case in Hartford. There is no denying that I feel the court system in general, and Judge Christopher Droney's handling of this case in particular, are responsible for the loss of hundreds of homes over the course of this litigation. Much of this was, in my opinion, unnecessary and showed an unprecedented callousness on the part of our justice system toward victims.

That being said, Ocwen seems to have finally run out of time-outs and document exchanges are being done this week. Progress at last! Some predictions are that a preliminary injunction hearing may come about as early as mid-February.

Transfer of this case at this point could only serve to reset the whole thing back to the beginning, lose the lead plaintiff, and/or turn this case into a simple quest for money rather than justice. Justice is sorely needed in this area or these crimes will continue across the industry and into the next generation.

A class-action suit at this point will be a swat on the bottom for Ocwen and it will cry, kick, and scream for a day or two, then rise up to further victimize all who come in contact with it for years to come. I find it sickening to think that my children or grandchildren will someday find themselves faced with what all victims are facing now.

One way to possibly help avert this crisis is for all participants in this case to send an email to Mr. Hanson re-affirming your desire to stay with the Hanson v. Ocwen action in Hartford, CT.

Don't let these guys ooze away from justice this time as they have so many times before. Don't let them "buy their way out". Justice demands jail time as well as monetary damages. Give them justice!
