Alert: hartford, connecticut ocwen lawsuit update:
Today, at a hearing in Hartford, Connecticut on the plaintiffs' motion to disqualify the federal judge hearing the matter in the case of Hanson v. Ocwen Federal Bank and Moss Codilis, following the argument on the recusal, the lawyers for Hanson and for Ocwen both told the judge that with respect to the preliminary injunction which seeks to stop Ocwen from foreclosing on homes, and seeks and accounting by Ocwen of everyone's loan, etc., the lawyers for both sides told the judge that they felt it was important to conduct discovery as to the existence of a nationwide class of victims before the hearing on the prelimnary injunction is scheduled.
What this means is that EVERYONE who previously sent in an Afidavit (at the time, I asked that you hold off sending me all your materials and cancelled checks, proof of Western Union quick collects, letters to Ocwen asking for your account to be corrected, demand letters from Moss Codilis, etc.,) the time is at hand to make copies of your key documents and send them to my attention by regular or certified or priority mail. There is NO immediate rush, but please plan to mail out this stuff to me starting by the end of February at the LATEST!
I am excited because finally, each of you victims out there can submit critical info which we will use (in addition to your Affidavits) to prove that there are hundreds of victims (we only need forty victims minimum by law) with very similar loan servicing problems involving Ocwen AND/OR Moss Codilis.
As a lawyer (although NOT the lawyer handling the Hanson v. Ocwen lawsuit) I am quite excited by this development allowing us FINALLY to move forward with discovery. It will enable us to take depositions of Ocwen's employees and others under oath, so now all you anonymous employees making personal attacks on me, we'll see "where's the beef."
