I made the mistake of a lifetime when I applied for a loan modification with Citimortgage. They jerked me around for 6 months, then tried to attach an escrow amount to my regular loan payment, claiming I was under their loan mod plan. If I was under the plan, why wasn't my monthly payment lowered? They wanted me to pay an additional $400 a month.
I have been lied to and misled, and I am totally frustrated by their actions. Every time you talk to a rep, you get a different answer. But it all boils down to the same thing: they are lying and are just trying to get as much money out of you as possible.
I filed a complaint with the office of corporations located in Sacramento, CA, and hopefully they can do an investigation of Citimortgage. I am hoping to file a lawsuit against them also. They make your life miserable, and you feel like telling every last one of them off.
