I had been in receipt of Social Disability Benefits since 1998 and each year in the month of December, we would always receive a new Award Letter telling us that our new benefits starting in the new year would be such and such which was almost likely from 2 % to 3.9%, yearly without fail, increase due to the rise of standard of living.
Since Obama sat in office, our social security benefits never changed at all, not even a 1% increase while everything in the market has already increased in prices.
I am very curious because I do not receive a big amount and in fact my SS benefits places me way below the poverty level that is why I cannot even afford to pay for my housing. This is the second year in a row that we had never had an increase in our benefits. This has been deliberately done by the officials whom we elected during the last Presidential Elections. Now that they are in power, they have forgotten the little people like me who barely subsist with this kind of stagnation with regards to the receipt of our benefits.
I am really very much ticked off by this because I do not receive much to start with and now, this is the second year that I have to go through life without any increase. Every price of commodities have alsready risen and yet we are still receiving the same amount of SS Benefits since 2 years ago without any advancement. What are they thinking? Do they think we have some magic potion that we can multiply the measly amount of benefits we are getting?
The government had been very generous to the big corporations and has been supporting them in billions of dollars yet, we, the ordinary folk who rely on our little Social Security Benefits must try to swallow our pride and live with it quietly.
