I have seen a lot of complaints regarding this company, and frankly, I can tell everyone that this company is not only aware of the practice utilized by it's employee's for ripping people off, they actually reward such behavior. Nonetheless, in my discussions with representatives of this company, I have assured on many occasions that the recurrent charging problems they have, and the "lost cancellation requests" are due to sub-standard computer programs.
I will start by letting everyone know that Capital Credit Alliance, Inc. (CCA) has officially been in business since its license (M14-00074) was issued on 10/21/1999. The company works in conjunction with many other companies, including sister company (CCS) Consumer Credit Service, Inc. Both companies filter their sales through yet another company known as JM Fulfillment, Inc; a catalog sales company. For anyone seeking to find out who is as the top, captaining these sleazy enterprises, I will save you some time and research. The owners, William Shane Kelly and Eric A Petersen, are the ultimate top of the hill for these companies (and many others) that thrives off a disadvantaged subset of our society.
Although I would like to point the finger of blame at either of these two entrepreneurs, I cannot readily comment on whether or not the crux of all "problems are really caused by their computer systems or not. What's I do know is, given the amount of revenue generated by this multi-million dollar enterprise, doing nothing to remedy the problem is unconscionable.
I will be sure to keep everyone apprised of my future findings. Also, on the off chance that the aforementioned owners (or someone they know) read this site, I recommend you start taking these problems and issues very seriously. If your computer systems are so bad that they multiply bill people, or fail to process account cancellations, then fire your entire staff, trash your existing system, and put a new system in place. If, on the other hand, you have established a policy of ripping people off then shame on you.
