Portfolio Recovery Associates has recently called me about a debt from 1992. When I found out why they were calling, I hung up on them. They are still trying to reach me, and nobody at my residence will pick up the phone for them. This debt is well past the statute of limitations anywhere in the US, yet they are trying to collect it.
