Complaint / Review
PNC Bank
Fees too high, poor customer service, not enough incentives

I had an account with PNC bank, which used to be National City, and St. Francis bank. I had a free checking acct, but when they changed, they automatically put me in the access checking acct without my permission.
If you dont meet the minimum, they charge you 10$ a month. Plus they take out interest withholding, and I have no idea why.
One time I got a letter saying since they didnt hear from me, I wasnt enrolled for free into overdraft protection. I never even got a letter saying that I would be in the first place!
One time a relative who also has an acct with them had devious charges made to their acct. When the people at the bank were told about it, at the one on State Street in Wauwatosa, WI, she said why not take back the stuff they had bought at Kmart? What right have they got to tell someone to do that, instead of helping with the problem at hand? They finally put back the charges, but never told my relative they would take back the credits they made, after the company who made the devious charge gave a refund, and was once again over drawn.
Another time, a relative dated a check to be cashed on the 3rd of the month. So what happens? The bank allows the person to cash the check on the 2nd of the month!
Then, they charge my relative a fee of 25$ for being overdrawn! That wasnt her fault! That was the banks mistake!
They should reimburse her for that 25$! Of course they dont. Im enrolled in the PNC points with my debit card.
I cant turn them in for any rewards because the only catalog they have is one you have to download, which I cant because my computer is too old. I requested a paper catalog and they said theyd send one, but never got one. I also contacted customer service at the address about some other issues, but never got a response.
When it was St. Francis bank, things such as statement copies were FREE. Now they cost 10$! This bank has WAY too many fees and NO incentives.
I cant even turn in my points like I said. Also, customer service doesnt address the issues you have.
