Bank of America
Fraud charges

Just before the holiday I noticed some bogus charges on my small business cheking account from online gaming store. That was on Friday eve, before the big national holiday on Monday. I immediately called 800- number about fraud charges. To my surprise, I was told by bank of america service rep that their fraud department for business accounts is closed for the holidays and I should call back on Tuesday...

I decided to call again and speak with someone else. The other guy told me to hold, promised to connect to a fraud department.instead I was just put on hold on a dead line; nobody picked up a phone for a half an hour.

When I called on Tuesday to same bank of america 800- number, I was told that their fraud department works 24/7 and I were supposed to call them last week...

I notified the representative about fraudulent charges almost immediately, on the same day the charges occurred. On Friday eve was charges less then $50.instead of blocking my card, they allowed more charges to go through from the same online gaming store that I never heard of before and never purchased anything from. After holidays there were over $300 in fraudulent charges.

Bank of America rep on Tuesday told me that I can initiate a claim to get a credit back to my account only once the charges go through. So, I had to wait an extra day and call again to ask for my money. Then I was told they are going to mail me some forms to sign, before they can issue a provisional credit...

I had impression that some employees were stealing card numbers and the rest covering them up.

Don't ever open small business checking at bank of america. Run from there. They keep changing terms, increasing charges, and putting charges on your account that were never specified when you opened that account. The last one was for making a cash deposit... They want to charge you if you have activity, and charge even more for inactivity.

Now you can't even dispute a charge on their web-site under your account details. You have to call them. Wait, waste your time to hear an explanation for a newly invented fee.
