TRS Recovery Service charged me a $71.07 Service Charge Fee for a check that was run through my bank and cleared in July.
I was told that they called several times but left no messages. I asked how I was supposed to know that something had not cleared if they were not leaving messages with a telephone number to contact them back.
On June 28, I received a call from TRS and spoke with a lady who was a total *itch, saying that they had a check that had not gone through. I found out today through my conversation with Regina at TRS, that I had spoken with someone with the initials of PIK that day.
On that date I asked for a notice from TRS that they had an outstanding check. I never received one (It is even notated in their system that I requested it).
They took money out of my account one month later on August 28th for the "Recovery Fee." - Had I received the notice and an address to pay the collection fee of $35, I would have taken care of it, but instead they waited another month to get into my checking account and take the money, which doubled the amount due to them.
I spoke with a lady named Regina today and received the name and phone number of her Supervisor. It is Shawn Tillman (800) 927-0599 X 7579.
I will be calling Ms. Shawn Tillman and requesting that at least half of the money be credited back into my account. If that doesn't happen I will contact my attorney.
