We bought our double wide in 2007 from Clayton homes in Greeneville TN every since its been a fight to keep it, Vanderbilt has claim we have not pay our payments which is a lie we had the receipts to show we did. We filed chapter 13 bankrupt on our house so we could keep it we found out they was saying we was four months behind which was not true the bankrupt was making the payments we had our poof. They chalked it up as a mess type & stole I don't even know how much money in payments we had to remake cause they "never received". After six months of being in bankrupt we was living off $180 with 3 kids we was finding it hard to provide for their needs. We drop the bankrupt talked to Vanderbilt before we did drop it & they said they would work with us to refinance the house or as they say "adjust" the mortgage they sent us papers showing where they agree to file for a "adjust of the mortgage" they told us to hold off on he payments until the the main office proved the request to "adjust the mortgage" calling every other day for 6 months on asking where the papers are for the adjust they reply hold off it takes time to get proved for adjusting the mortgage. Well we held off about 2 weeks ago Vanderbilt started saying we was $4,111 behind in payments that they was going to foreclosed we sent them $3.000 to get the house catch up now they are saying we owe $4,7980 due to late fees.instead of going down every thing went up. Now we are being harrased saying Vanderbilt is going to foreclosed on our house that we didn't make payments they are showing up at my house asking if we still live in the house, they are sending letters telling us we have 30 days to get out, When we call the office we get we are still working on your adjusted mortgage just hold off we jump the gun when we saw how behind you was that's the reason they filled with there lawyer to foreclosed. We have filed back into chapter 13 bankrupt which is a temporary save for our home, No one will refinance with us so we can get it out of the hands of Vanderbilt due to our credited score because of the bankrupt & I found out that even if a other bank would refinance Vanderbilt would not sign the mortgage over, are they any way to get away from these crooks with our house still intact? Vanderbilt is a rip off They will claim that they never receive your payments & steal money from you, they will do whatever they can to try to foreclosed on your home. They will threaten you & try to scary you into signing your home over. They will try to force you to leave with out a court ordered. When will the state or who ever step in & stop this company from stealing from us? Lets step up & put a stop to Vanderbilt stealing & taking our homes.
