I received a call from a guy saying he was Officer Alex Williams with a strong accent. He told me I was being sued for a payday loan from CashNet back in August. He began to verify my ssn#, address, items on my credit report. As he was talking to me, saying he was in a room full of attorneys, I was looking at my bank acct as he was talking and saw no payday loans going into my account from cashnet. I asked him for the company's info, he told me he did not have it and that the company refused to talk to me.
Mr. Williams then began to threaten me with jail, attorney fees, court and that he was sending someone to my home to investigate. I told Mr. Williams to do what he feels and not to call me anymore or I will be calling the FBI to report his fraudulent activity. I decided to google his company's name and found several complaints on the consumer complaints with the same company name, accent and similar last name matches.
