NADN - ripoff company don't believe their lies A guaranteed refund time of 7 days has now been 7 months

NADN called me and promised profits on my back tax returns as well as future returns. I was stupid and believed them. To be cautious I specifically asked how long I had to get my money back if I was not satisfied. I was told 30 days. Then I asked if I would actually get my money back in 30 days. I was told yes.

Luckily before I went to the trouble of digging out all of my old tax papers and faxing them I realized I couldn't afford their fee yet. I called them back the very next day before the charge had even been debited from my account and I was told I would have to fax them a letter cancelling my account and asking for my refund. That same day, March 25, I faxed my letter.

When I called to confirm that they had received it they had no idea what I was talking about. I had the confirmation in my hand that it had went through but it took them a month and a half to decide that they had not in fact received it. I was told to fax another letter. The first one I sent was professional and civil however I cannot say the same for the second. After repeatedly trying to fax this second letter with no success because their fax machine was not turned on I finally got a phone call back from them.

This call was from the director of compliance letting me know that they had in fact received my first letter. Almost two months and they didn't even know they had it. Unbelievable. He instructed me to return the package that I hadn't even received yet with the RAC# on it. Two weeks later when I received the package I sent it back and another month later they finally said they received it. Then I finally got the letter stating that my refund would take no longer than 7 days. This was in June of this year. It is now October!

In the beginning when I called every week to hear the status first on my letter, then on the package, then finally on the refund, I would at least be able to speak to a live person only to be told they didn't know anything or that the refund was procesing. Since July I'm lucky if I even get to do that.

First no one would answer and I would be on hold for at least 15 minutes only to be instructed to leave a message. So I would leave a message. But do you think anyone ever called me back? HELL NO! On the rare occasion that I do get to speak to a human now who only tells me everyone is busy and someone will call me back I leave urgent messages but still no response.

Only after I threatened traveling there to inflict bodily harm was I able to get a message left on the Supervisor's desk (Mr. Cottner, who by the way is never there or has stepped out) to call me back immediately was I able to get someone to return my call.

Mr Cottner told me that he saw no problem with my refund taking more than 6 months to electronically transfer from one account to another and that I should just disregard the written correspondence that stated I would have it within 7 days. But he did guarantee I would get my money. I'm sure he thought he was being helpful.

I've almost given up. I'll consider myself lucky if I ever see the money I gave them again. I know they have filed for bankruptcy and according to the Better Business Bureau it doesn't look good that the class action lawsuit against them will result in payment. But I do still have Mr. Cottner's guarantee then, don't I? I doubt it.
