I'm writing to you poor people who are in our shoes also! This started back when we refinanced with this horrific co. Back in 2001 the week my mom died and my husband was diagnosed with severe depression, we refinanced with Ocwen to lower our rates.
They promised us that our taxes and our home ins would be included in our mortgage payments. Well as distraught with my mother and my husband's illness we took their word. One year later, we were getting bills for our taxes and ins. Now they want $1,295.44 a month instead of the $789.00 that we signed for. Impossible to make payments due to my husband not working. My job is just enough to make the utility payments and soforth.
Now I'm in forclosure after I applied for Action Housing assistance. They bought us some time, which I'm so grateful for. Now our time is up, the house is up for sale, but if we don't sell in the meantime we're screwed. My husband is getting back into depression because of this, and for the first time in my life I also am on depression medication and thought the worst.
I don't know if this will do a dogone thing, but I'm going to the big news stations about this. Your welcome to join us, because reading just a handful of your letters made me fight harder. All we could do is try! Bill O'Riley is my first to contact.
