Major scam - Website lack of info

I used care credit for my dental work. I had 12 months of time to pay without interest. My payment was due 5/4/10. I was enrolled in auto pay & on 4/27/10, I changed the amount on the website which was previously for the full balance, over $ to $185 which in 12 months would about bring my balance to zero. I called them on 5/4/10, my payment due dat, to make sure that they would take it out that day and for the amount of $185.50. They said yes. The next day I went to their site and they had taken out the full balance $2226 and the rude csr blamed it on me stating that I hadn't "TURNED OF" autopay first before changing the amount?!?!?! How ridiculous was that. After sending me an email confirmation about my auto pay to be $185.50 as well as a verbal confirmation, it was now my fault that I hadn't stopped it first. Now over 2K will be taken of my checking account. What's the point of 12 month financing in this case??? The better business bureau will love to hear this.
