Just recently (9/03/03) this company took $79.95 from my checking account for a FREE credit report, which I did not authorize or receive. And because of this fraudulent charge my account is now overdrawn.
I called this company on two different occasions the first time I got a customer service rep who claimed I signed up for a free credit report which I did not receive. The second time I spoke to another customer service rep. She told me that supposedly on September 3 I signed up for a credit report with a 30-day trial period so on October 3 the trial period ended.
Now why would they wait a whole year then charge to me. Even if I had signed up for this service why wasn't I notified that before my so-called trial period was up? After I felt I was getting nowhere with the rep I asked to speak to her supervisor. When I spoke with the supervisor I demanded that in addition to a full refund that I wanted my overdraft fees also and she claimed there was nothing she could do about my overdraft.
She then told me to file a police report. FOR WHAT? They're only going to put it in their files and leave them there. If someone did get a hold of my debit card number why in the world would they order a copy of MY credit report and send it to MY address. I have had no other unauthorized debits to my account so thief is not the case here. What kind of fool do these people think I am?
I going to do everything to get my money back!!!
