I used to be with Washington Mutual. Then Chase came, bought them out and instilled their corporate policies on us former WAMU customers, which are impersonal and self-serving! WAMU treated me like a person and took into account (pardon the pun) my individual situation when dealing with things such as overdrafts and unforeseen fees. Chase has not and WILL NOT work with you. Their responses are always corporate lines "taken out of a policies and procedures manual" and never really address the issue or treat you as a person. You will do better sticking with a Credit Union or small town bank and if opening a new account, please run the other way from Chase. My girlfriend and I are taking our business elsewhere, including a 100K mortgage through Chase! If enough of us avoid them, they WILL listen!
