On December 4 I received a phone call from a Mr. David Harper that I was approved for a student loan that I had applied for over the internet and I needed to call him immediately. I was out of town and as soon as I got back in town I called the number that was left on my cell phone and spoke with Mr. Harper and he explained he needed a fax number to send the contract to so I gave him the fax number and the documents were sent a few minutes later. I read over the contract very carefully and it seemed legit. I sent it back signed and received a call from him the next day stating that because I was a high risk the investor needed an advance payments for the first six months and I could only use Western Union Money in Minutes. These people were smooth talkers and I feel for their little scam to the tune of 3200.00. I did not receive the loan of course and now the phone number has been disconnected. The webpage however is still operating and I have sent numerous emails, but have not got a response from either party involved. I am hoping that other people who have fallen victim to this "company" will also see this and contact the Orange County Sheriff's Department in Orlando and file a complaint. I have contacted the authorities in Ohio, Flordia, and Canada and now I using the internet and all possible links I can find to get the word out that these crooks are out there.
