I had my credit card with 1st National Bank of Marin for 6 years. The only time my payments were processed in order to avoid late fees is if I sent the payment two weeks in advance of the due date. My credit limit was $400. Before I even activated my card the $150. Dollar deposit was used for the annual fee & Activation fee.
By the time I decided I didn't want this card anymore, I had $232 dollars worth of added fees to the card.
I would recommend anymore trying to re-establish credit pay off all of the accounts to paid in full status and leave it that way for at least 6 months. Then apply for a credit card that is issued by your bank.
