For months now Bank of America has been processing my debits so that they stay in a pending status until my larger direct withdrawls for my credit cards and other large expenses come in. Rather than overdrawl that one large expense (if it happens to come in before I make get paid) they process everything that was pending from past days and all of the sudden that large expense has caused all the others made before it over the limit. So even though I had money to buy that Starbucks coffee at the time, I am now in overdraft. That cup of coffee has just cost me about forty dollars. Last month my overdraft bill was $350 and this month the same happened, even though I was watching my balance daily. I tried to close my account last month, but I have so many direct deposits and withdrawls that it's been complicated.
Clark Howard has warned us about Bank of America and how they handle debit fees. Can't something be done. Isn't this illegal in some way. Why can't the government help the little guy instead of these giant banks who are making their bread and butter off of questionable practices? Bank of America gives to the rich by robbing the poor - a 21st Century Robin Hood.
