Bank of America continues to charge fees even when the money is in my account; they are holding a deposit from another banking institute for 14 business days, even when it cleared the other bank within 2 businesses days. Due to holds on deposits, Bank of America has charged my account $370 in fees. They will not allow me to close my account until the last deposit hold is cleared, which means they can charge me another $105. I was promised that the NY and CA Bank of America would be merged three years ago; it still is not done. I have direct deposit from my employer in CA. This was convenient, but there are other banks that can really handle the NY to Ca transactions!
