When I was 18 and fresh out of high school I obtained my first Visa account with capital one. My first initial balance was 250.00. Everything was fine for a while, then I fell on hard time (job layoff), made arrangements, and continued to do the best I could, but it ended up as a charge-off.
A couple of years past, I'd graduated from a program and landed a pretty decent job, so I got involved in a reestablish credit program with them. It was another Visa account so I thought! (I'm still holding onto the visa card just for show).
I call them for a pay-off balance and they tell me I have a mastercard account in the amount of $1000.00. I have never had a mastercard and I keep getting passed to different people who constantly put me on hold, come back read a bogus account number and tell me its my account. I have never in my life had but one account and thats a visa with capital one...
