I have both a Mastercard and Visa with Capital One.in November due to Fradulent activity my payment to Capital One was returned by my bank in which I immediately resubmitted the payment. I also contacted customer service and was told that my cards had been restricted and that it was at Capital Ones descrection.in December I reported Fradulent activity to my Visa card and in which payments had been made to my card and also charges. I disputed each and then contacted customer service thinking that maybe the payment had been posted in error to my account.

I recently paid my mastercard in full, and contacted customer service Fraud department regarding the Visa which was now showing a balance of $1334.06 (my credit limit was only $500.00). I was told that the only way they could look into the matters of the account is for me to pay the $834.06 that I was over on the account in which they were showing a payment of $593.00, and a payment of $400.00 neither of which I made. When I aked for the method of payment I was told that it was an over the phone payment from my checking account. (Which is the same account in which my check book and debit card had been stolen, which I had already informed the rep in December about). I then requested to receive a copy of whatever they used to request payment and was told that account information used for payment is not kept on file.

I was also informed that I had 5 payments pass due which was incorrect. I was never contacted back after December regarding the account only started receiving harrassing phone calls from NCO financial demanding payment.

My Mastercard although paid in full with a $0 Balance was restricted the same day the payment was made. When I contacted customer service I was told that I could not use that card until I paid the Visa in full, if it is decided to reopen my line of credit. I was very pissed off because I had just paid $800 and now am being told that if I needed to use the card for anything thing that I couldn't. Had I know this there is no way I would have paid the entire balance I would have simply made payments. I was also informed that the only payment that they would accept from me would be a money order or a cashiers check. Well I sent the payment online from my new checking account let's see if they send it back.

Where do I go from here. I have sent letters to the coporate office, and from reading this today may have just waisted my time. Hopefully my card will be made available to me again.
