I had a personal check for $500 from the VP of my company who has account with Chase. When I went to the Branch, I was told they will charge me $5 for cashing the check. When asked why? They responded thats their policy for non-members. But I said the check belongs to your bank and gave them 2 forms of IDs for verification. When I asked them whats the difference between Chase Bank and the Check Cashing Centers, they had no response. I took the check back and made a regular deposit into my BOA account. Its just ridiculous.
