BEWARE
This company totally had me. I was close to losing my home and they took $1,200 (which could have helped me catch up on my mortgage)
My first contact was 11/24/08 at which time my first contact, Stacy Coston, was very quick to send me a contract to sign and an authorization to withdraw funds ($600 then another $600 in 2 weeks). I called several times to follow up on what they were doing and was advised I need to talk to another person now. He was only my contact for a day.
No contact was made with my mortgage company for a MONTH. I kept calling and finally received an email from my NEW contact, Trishelle Cummings on Christmas Eve. She had more papers for me to sign & return. I sent them back within a few days. I had to follow up again on 12/31, twice, 1/5 twice, 1/14,1/20 and 1/29. Two months passed and they still had nothing for me an no contact with my mortgage co other than faxing my paperwork to them.
On 2/17, I was contacted by my NEW contact Donna Hadley after several calls to my last contact and was advised my mortgage co was very hard to get hold of. She told me she'd get back to me by 3/9!! I started all this 11/24. For the next month I had to constantly call and email her to get any information, which they had kept saying, my mortgage co was hard to get hold of and they had no news...
I contacted my mortgage company directly because by now i was seriously behind and they worked DIRECTLY with me and had a solution within 2 weeks. My lender also advised he did not even know any of my so called contacts from IMC! IMC did nothing other than cash my checks & faxed my paperwork.
I researched Michigan's state website and found that it is not legal for this type of company to collect funds UP FRONT without a solution. I have since followed their instructions for refund and heard nothing. I have submitted a complaint to the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau.
